Why Your Site Needs GOOD Graphics (& Free Graphics For You)

Today, we’ll talk about the importance of good graphics on all you do online. Your web presentation is key because for your internet business, the way your site looks is just about all your potential clients can use to make a judgement call about your product/service and your business. 2. Good Web Graphics & Presentation – The Importance…

As far as conversions go, good graphics are worth their weight in gold. Well designed graphics add to the professionalism of a website. In fact, studies have shown that all things being equal graphics can make a 30% difference in the conversion (sales/opt in) so it is well worth your time to get good graphics on all your sites. Whether you have a content blog, or you’re selling a big MRR package – you need to get this right.

A few pointers:

- These days, if you’re selling a digital product you will need to put together a good box cover. Or CD cover. Or DVD case cover etc. This is even truer if you plan on selling rights to a digital product you have created.

- Try and include 3D style graphics and images. These leave a positive impression on your potential clients.

- Create a good quality logo – it can create an instant appeal for your product, and will help the potential client identify with your product or service.

- Resist the urge to just slap on any old graphics. The graphics must suit your site, your product – and be GOOD. Believe me, it matters a great deal.

Of course, graphic design just like web design is a skill that can take months to master. When you have an internet business, you must be able to be able to get many things done, and you cannot always learn everything from scratch. So, if you do NOT have the ability to create guru-style graphics from scratch (and I certainly cannot) then what are your options?

a) Get the professionally developed on a site like Elance.com – yes, you can pay a LOT even for one simple ebook cover ($49 to $97 per cover, depending on the provider). This is an expensive way, but it is a good way if you have the funding.

b) Go against the experts, and take a course on photoshop (or buy some tutorials on it) and learn it yourself. A praiseworthy thing to attempt? Sure. Are you likely to succeed? Not without a lot of the “other” parts of your business failing.

c) Buy TEMPLATE graphics, and use these as the basis of creating your own.

Those are your choices. If you do opt for the third, it’s yet another reason why a DRR Pro membership will help your business. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a diffusion of traffic into many different areas. No longer are people to be found on one single online source, which is why concepts like understanding where your target niche is to be found, and having an iron grip over your ad budget are more important than ever. Listen to the gurus and you’ll be splashing out cash on just about everything they can get an affiliate link for. No – in this climate, the emphasis must be on efficiency. On finding clients, and paying as little as possible for them. However, caution is also required as there has been a proliferation of social media sites, from the mainstream ones I’ve discussed to tiny sites that actually are not worth your time setting up on.

Social marketing plays a part here. Aside from the impressive numbers above, here are some more reasons why you can build your business using social marketing techniques:

- You can build a relationship with your clients when you use Social marketing. You can interact, even get to know them on a sub-social level. It all makes for better business.

- Once you build a presence on popular social networks, you can actually do deals with other people in your niche to explode your fan base even more. It’s no different to doing ad swaps – simply swap tweets (for example) with a number of partners so you both get extra clients. Of course, to do this you need to first have a Twitter following, a Facebook fanbase (etc)

- It’s just a fact – your clients are on these social sites. So is your competition. And every minute you’re spending faffing about with Bob The Gurus latest “laser traffic pulling software” (or whatever) is another minute you’re losing clients. So, take it seriously. Get on the BIG sites. Get brand recognition. Get JV partners. And, get sales & clients.
